Well, I had my final doctor's appointment today! Of course nothing is going on with my cervix still. I don't think my babies ever want to come out. It must be pretty cozy in there. I never dilated on my own at all with Jeremiah, even after the doctor induced me. I was put into the hospital the night before and the doctor put in a cervidil overnight to help "ripen" the cervix and in the morning still nothing. Then I got hooked up to pitocin for 6 hours and nothing. So he sent me home for the weekend only to do it all over on that Monday. So again, I came in and they put in another cervidil and in the morning still not dilated. This time it did at least thin a little then I got hooked up to pitocin and I started to dilate. Finally after 17 hours of pitocin I was finally fully dilated and ready to push but he got stuck coming out so I had to have a c-section. They never even checked me with Jack and just scheduled a c-section. But from past experience and my experience now, I am guessing I didn't dilate at all with him either. I am thinking this may run in my family. My sister had the same problem with both of her girls and my mom was a month overdue with her first son. But the fact that I am not dilating doesn't really bother me as much now because I know either way my precious little boy will be here on Friday! So I am very excited about that! I will try to post one more picture Thursday night and check my weight and everything then it will be time to lose the baby weight! So I will keep updating my blog on my weight loss. On top of being stressed out about having a baby on Friday, I am starting to think my son Jack might have a gluten allergy. I have been reading a lot about it online and they say that most people can't tolerate gluten. I did notice when we were feeding the kids mainly primal that Jack didn't complain about him belly as much and his bowel movements were getting normal. Jack has always had harder bowel movements and he only goes like twice a week and they are very painful for him. He also complains a lot that his belly hurts. Considering I have Crohn's, it is very likely Jack can't tolerate gluten products. A lot of people are finding relief of their Crohn's symptoms when they go on a gluten free diet. That is why I originally wanted to go primal. But with the end of pregnancy and being tired from chasing after two kids I started getting lazy with feeding the boys primal foods. It's hard enough to keep myself eating mainly primal. It seems like when I started feeding the boys more things like peanut butter and jelly and other non-primal foods, Jack has gone back to complaining more that his belly hurts. So, I am going to try the gluten free diet with him. Yes, the primal diet is pretty much gluten free, I say we are going to put him on a gluten free diet so that I still have the option of getting gluten free bread or gluten free products that aren't necessarily primal. Although I do want to work on them going 100% primal. One website I was reading said to eliminate all gluten products for three weeks then try to introduce something that has gluten in it and you will be able to tell if they have a reaction to it. Yes, it would be easier to go to the doctor and have him tested to see if he is allergic to gluten but after being diagnosed with Crohn's, I have realized how hard it is to get insurance or anything that I would hate for Jack to have to be "tagged" with Crohn's or Celiac disease and have to go through that same trouble. Although I do not think it is Celiac because he would get a lot more sick when he ate gluten products and Crohn's takes a while to develop so cutting out gluten may prevent him getting it. I decided to wait until we got home from the hospital because he will be spending the whole weekend with his grandparents and that is asking a lot of them to totally cut out gluten from his diet while we are doing this "experiment". That is just a lot to throw onto someone.
